The pendulum head design, with a twin ram arrangement pushing on each side, develops pressure evenly. Due to the fact, the head has a smaller surface area the pressure is higher and more concentrated as it pushes waste into the container with more compaction. The GPC P9 portable compactor has a leak proof loading area which makes it suitable for retaining liquids making the GPC P9 ideal for dealing with wet waste including food waste, medical waste, green waste, or any waste with a high liquid content.
Suitable for wet waste
Due to the nature of what goes into compactors, they can attract rodents and emit foul smells. An optional deodorising system can be specified to prevent foul odours from being produced. The GPC P9 is liquid retentive and has been tested by filling it with over 400mm of water to ensure no effluent from waste materials will leach out.
GPC P9 with bin lift
The GPC P9 is typically offered with a bin lift. The design of pendulum compactors means that there are no side doors for manual loading hence bin lift or tipping skip feed is the most suitable way to feed in the material.
The advantage of the bin lift is that it eradicates the need for time-consuming and physically demanding manual loading. Gradeall offers the choice of comb or trunnion lifts, allowing the compactor to lift a wide variety of bin types. The bin lift has a transport position which reduces its height making transport of the compactor much easier on the road.
When a bin lift is not specified a spring loaded or hydraulically operating lid will be fitted to allow the GPC P9 to be filled by hand or via tipping skip. Gradeall has manufactured solutions to allow the GPC P9 to work with chute feed systems, contact us to discuss specific requirements.
Controls on either side
The GPC P9 uses a modular hydraulic control system, and this has been specifically designed to work with the compactor, due to the nature of the compactors chassis design the power unit can be positioned (according to customer request) to either the left or right side of the machine, making it suitable for a much wider range of sites. Emergency stops are featured on both sides of the GPC P9.
Intelli-Fill remote monitoring system
The Intelli-Fill system comes as standard in all Gradeall portable compactors (Subject to network operator cost) which wirelessly sends information regarding the compactors operation and remaining capacity. And most importantly allows Gradeall to provide accurate remote diagnosis and troubleshooting should any issues arise.
All Gradeall portable compactors are built to comply with British CHEM Standards, an independent regulatory body overseeing issues associated with portable compactors. The advantage of this compliance is the knowledge that Gradeall portable compactors are compatible with any CHEM compliant skip lorry, and will work on them without any issues.
